Arts & Sciences
This course provides an introduction to statistical analysis with emphasis on business applications. It enhances conceptual understanding and computation of descriptive and inferential statistics through a hands-on approach. Spreadsheet software is used to facilitate the coverage of some topics and enrich students’ understanding. Students are required to complete a semester-long final project which includes developing and conducting a survey, analysis, reporting, and presenting their results. In addition, calculus will be integrated to enrich students’ understanding of selected topics.
